Searcher Sportfishing Trip Report | Trip #3, John Waggoner Charter | 3-Day Ultra Limited Load, May 12–15, 2026
Good morning,
Monday morning, May 18, 2026, we returned home from Trip #3, the John Waggoner Charter, a 3-Day Ultra Limited Load trip that ran May 12–15, 2026. Epic bluefin fishing continued over the weekend on John’s charter. After the guys caught what they wanted, we opted for some coastal fishing down south for the last couple of days to stay out of the weather. We checked out some new areas and scraped up a few yellowtail along with a nice variety of other fish.
Jesse and Dan prepared delicious meals throughout the trip. Some of the dishes included filet mignon with a red wine reduction, duck confit in a duck fat sauce, and chicken curry over rice, just to name a few.
Tomorrow morning, we’ll be heading back out on Trip #4, a 3-Day Limited Load trip running Tuesday, May 19, 2026, through Friday, May 22, 2026.
