Howdy anglers: We had some fair action on some yellowtail today, and we got a exotic–a very nice opah –on a yoyo jig. We’re guessing it weighs is over a hundred pounds. We’re moving up the line tonight looking for kelps and whatever gets in our way. The weather is superb. Wish us luck tomorrow. Here’s a picture of our “gold fish” caught by Paul Schlingensiepen.
Tip of the day: When fishing with mackeral. you have to be patient and let the fish eat the back. I know it might be the longest 10 seconds of your life. but it will pay off in the end.
