Trip #22 Herzog 2-day (Sept 20-22)
Good evening anglers:
We departed today on a 2-day charter with great guys from Herzog Electric. We heard the local fishing had been good this morning so we were excited to get out there. We immediately started seeing fish once we got in the zone. We had a nice couple hour drift on 15-25lb yellowfin this afternoon, capped off by a small sample of 40lb class bluefin right at dark. Here is Ryan and Alfredo with their bluefin caught on the sinker rig.

Trip #21 Herzog/Rexel 3-day (Sept 17-20)
Hello anglers,
We have had good action on 15-25 pound yellowfin tuna this morning. Everyone has landed at least a couple of fish, though we’ve had been losses as well. We hope to keep this up for awhile. Here is Brent with a nice yellowfin caught on a live sardine and 30 pound line.

Tackle Tip Thursday Vol.66 (Heavy 2-Speed)
Tackle Tip Thursday is here! Captain Art is back and giving us a great tackle tip before our SEEKER Rod sponsored 7day trip with Fred Brandt departs. Captain Art has a Heavy 2-speed reel a Penn Fathom 60, with great line capacity. A heavy two speed reel/ outfit is recommended for any long range trip.
Thank you to Fred and Seeker Rod for coming out on the water with us.

Trip #21 Herzog/Rexel 3-day (Sept 17-20)
Hello anglers,
We started out yesterday in the yellowfin tuna area that we had success in last trip. We just had a sample for our efforts. This morning we started out landing some nice-size fish and close to everyone had a chance to land their first tuna. Here is Bert with his first tuna of the day with his old friend Ryan. The happy face says it all!

Trip: 20B NEW! 1.5 day (Sept 15-17, 2019)
Hello anglers,
We stopped early this morning with a skipjack on the troll. After catching a few skipjack we landed our first yellowfin tuna it was a nice size fish about 25 pounds on a live sardine. We drifted for a while catching an occasional yellowfin and some more skipjack. Everyone had a chance to land a nice size yellowfin and those who didn’t tagged a couple of skipjack that the crew took care to bleed and get in the fish hold quickly so it could be used for POKE!! (Our chef Dan has an excellent recipe.)
Here is Capt Art’s son Matthew with a nice size yellowfin tuna. Hoping for more later.

Afternoon update:
Hello anglers
We had great action all day with mixed yellowfin tuna and skipjack. We ended the day with a good stop on yellowfin tuna. A live sardine with 25-30 pound and a 2/0 J-hook was the method of choice, although a few fish were caught on poppers and colt snipers. Here is Wilson F.with one of his yellowfin.

Trip #20 Penn Reels 3-day (Sept 12-15)
Good evening anglers:
We spent the rest of our day in search of anything that wanted to bite. We found a school of bluefin right at the end of the day that bit into the dark. Here are Tim and Ed with a pair of 40+ lb bluefin they landed in the dark.
We’re heading back for a Sunday morning arrival at the dock. Back out on a 1.5 day trip
