Trip 5 – 3-day (July 11-14) Seeker Rods Open

July 13th, 2019|Categories: Trip Reports|

Good afternoon anglers:

We started off our morning fishing for bluefin. We have had a little luck getting them to bite on 40lb fly-lined baits and flat falls.

Here is Chantel D. with a 75lb. bluefin caught on her spinning rod. Chantel is trying her hand at tuna fishing and came to San Diego long-range from British Columbia, Canada. We are gonna stay here for the day and see what happens. Wish us luck!

Trip 5 – 3-day (July 11-14) Seeker Rods Open

July 12th, 2019|Categories: Trip Reports|

Good Afternoon anglers,

We started off our morning fishing for yellowtail and had very good results. Fish were biting the yoyo jigs 6x and 6x Juniors. The best colors have been blue and white and dolphin pattern.
Flylined bait was also working well with 30lb test fluorocarbon and 2/0 hooks.

July 12th, 2019|Categories: Trip Reports|

Good evening anglers,

We left the dock this morning and started fishing for yellowtail this afternoon. We had very good results with using 30lb test with flourocarbon and a 2/0 hook. We also had good results with yoyo jigs. Here is Lisa F. with one of her nice yellowtails. Lisa is on this trip with her brother and father, a long-time Searcher customer who won his trip in our SONAR promotion. Check it out here: SONAR.

We are going to stay put and try for some more yellowtail tomorrow. Wish us luck!
