Trip 31 Oct 21-28 Accurate/Seeker (7-day) Oct 27 AM Report

October 27th, 2017|Categories: Trip Reports|

Hello anglers,

We had good action on small tuna and dorado this morning when we found a kelp with a nice school of fish on it. It was lots of fun for anyone interested in a little more action on their trip.

Janice Krause from San Clemente got a nice dorado on her Seeker Athena rod and an Accurate Valiant 30 with 25 pound fluorocarbon and a live sardine.

We are headed to Ensenada for check-in tonight and we’ll be back at the dock in San Diego tomorrow.

Trip 31 Oct 21-28 Accurate/Seeker (7-day) Oct 26 PM Report

Hello all,

Our final day here at the island we had some action midday and late in the day. Plenty of opportunities to pull on 100 pound class yellowfin tuna. Our goal for the trip was to have everyone on board land a quality yellowfin this trip. We came close to that goal on the final day.

Here is a photo of EZ and Joe with the last two fish of the day.

We are headed north to try for a kelp paddie tomorrow and hopefully we can get some action on smaller tuna and dorado.

Trip 31 Oct 21-28 Accurate/Seeker (7-day) Oct 26 Midday Report

October 26th, 2017|Categories: Trip Reports|

Hello all,

Great weather again today! Sunny skies and calm conditions. We landed a few yellowtail this morning, and while we were focused on yellowtail, Seeker Rods rep Fred Brandt hooked a yellowfin tuna. He handed it over to Bryan Short from Vacaville. Bryan fought the fish until he was tired and then Fred took over for a while. Brian tried again and then Capt Art took over and landed the fish. Here are Fred,Bryan and Gary with the 140 pound tuna. It was caught on a Seeker rod and an Accurate reel and 80 pound line.

Not only did Bryan tag a nice yellowfin tuna, he also won an Accurate product reel that Gary Gillingham brought!

More later,

Hello all,

Today was different day with not much action. There wasn’t very much tuna seen today. We did land 2 nice fish today. On Gary Gillingham’s birthday he hooked a nice fish and handed it to Eric Streich from Sacramento. Eric handed it off to the crew and they finished the fight. Kenny and R2 tag-teamed and landed this 148 pound tuna with a ATD 12 Accurate reel and a Seeker rod.

Hoping for a few more tuna tomorrow.
