Searcher Sportfishing Trip #36 Report | Knee Deep Brewing Co. Sponsored | Sep 2 – 4, 2026

Friday morning, we returned home from our second Knee Deep Brewing Company Sponsored 2-Day Trip #36, September 2–4, 2026.

The weather was a little choppy while out, but we still managed to find quality grade bluefin. We used the kite on Saturday, which proved to be very successful.

After a quick turnaround, we drove back out Friday morning out for the Labor Day Weekend on Trip #37. Wind seems to be calming down, and the bite has been good.

Searcher’s checking in with a trip report from our last trip. We returned home Wednesday morning from our Knee Deep Brewing Co. Sponsored 2-Day Trip #35, 8/31/26 to 9/2/26. Monday, we arrived on scene just in time to get a good shot late night on 30-50lb bluefin. Yesterday was a nice day on the anchor as well today fly lining for 25-80lb bluefin.

Thank you to Jim Niemiec from Western Outdoor News for joining us on the trip! When he wasn’t busy taking great notes and photos, he landed a nice bluefin!

Searcher Sportfishing Trip #34 Report | Eric Sonner Charter | Aug 28 – 31, 2026

We returned home Monday morning from trip #34, Eric Sonner Charter, Friday August 23, 2026, to Monday, August 31, 2026. Saturday, we had a nice day of bluefin fishing on the anchor before the weather came up. Caught fish up to 40 lbs. We had a few the night before as well. Sunday, we drove to the east to look for some exotics.

Round 2! The second 3-day Hawaiian-themed Lady Anglers trip with Wendy Tochihara, Lori Sachau, and Sophia Huynh! This was the 5th anniversary of the trip, which ran from Monday, August 17, 2026, to Thursday, August 20, 2026.

We had fun yellowtail fishing for beautiful-grade fish on the anchor during the day and at night.

Searcher’s 11th anniversary Lady Angler Trip!

This year’s 3-day Hawaiian-themed weekend trip ran from Friday, August 14, 2026, to Monday, August 17, 2026. The trip was filled with lots of fishing, singing, laughter, and camaraderie. We had excellent yellowtail fishing in the early morning, with the ladies bringing 150+ yellowtail over the rail!
