Checking back in with a Searcher Sportfishing trip report. We had a fun 3 days of fishing with the WWCME charter, August 23 – 26, 2026. There were good opportunities during the day and night. Caught a nice variety of bluefin, yellowtail and a dorado.

Searcher Sportfishing Trip #30 Report | Lady Angler | Aug 17 – 20, 2026

Round 2! The second 3-day Hawaiian-themed Lady Anglers trip with Wendy Tochihara, Lori Sachau, and Sophia Huynh! This was the 5th anniversary of the trip, which ran from Monday, August 17, 2026, to Thursday, August 20, 2026.

We had fun yellowtail fishing for beautiful-grade fish on the anchor during the day and at night.

Searcher’s 11th anniversary Lady Angler Trip!

This year’s 3-day Hawaiian-themed weekend trip ran from Friday, August 14, 2026, to Monday, August 17, 2026. The trip was filled with lots of fishing, singing, laughter, and camaraderie. We had excellent yellowtail fishing in the early morning, with the ladies bringing 150+ yellowtail over the rail!

Searcher Sportfishing Trip #27 Report | Captain Potato Head Memorial Fun-Raiser | Aug 7-10, 2026

Searcher Sportfishing 2026 Captain Potato Head Memorial Fun-Raiser was a success! This 3-day trip ran from Friday, August 7, 2026, to Monday, August 10, 2026. For over 20 years, Searcher has sponsored the Captain Potato Head Memorial Fun-Raiser trip in honor of Dick Uranga, aka Captain Potatohead, to support pancreatic cancer research. All funds raised by the Captain Potato Head anglers are donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Dick’s name. Searcher matches the amount raised, doubling the contribution to this important organization.

Searcher Sportfishing Trip Report | Turner’s & Izorline 8-Day | Jul 25 – Aug 2, 2026

Searcher Sportfishing is checking in with a trip report. We are currently out on Trip #24, our annual Turner’s Outdoorsman and Izorline International Sponsored 8-Day Trip, with our amazing sponsors, Lori and Wendy! We departed Fisherman’s Landing this past Saturday, July 25, 2026, and will return home on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

The first couple of days of the trip, we worked down the beach and had great yellowtail fishing. One afternoon, we stopped to make bait and did the Ridge special. Over the past few days, there have been nice picks of yellowfin tuna, a wahoo, some pargo, and more yellowtail. We’re headed back up to fish for yellowtail again tomorrow.

We’re currently out on Trip #23, Poseidon Fishing Adventures, July 20 – July 25, 2026, with a Searcher Sportfishing trip report. We’ve had very good nighttime action fishing bluefin. Spent several days on anchor picking nice grade yellowtail, all in good weather. Over the past few days, we’ve moved down the beach and finished off our annual Poseidon 5-day trip with more excellent yellowtail fishing.

Checking in with a trip report from over the weekend. We returned home Monday morning to Fisherman’s Landing from the Knee Deep Brewing Co.
