Tackle Tip Thursday Vol. 128 (Selecting & hooking bait)
Happy Tackle Tip Thursday! Today, we have Captain Mike who shares a great Tackle Tip. Mike gives us all the Tips to selecting a good and lively bait. He shows us all the ways to hook a live bait for fly-lining for yellowtail, tuna, dorado and wahoo. Fly-lining a live bait is a great technique when fish are at the surface. Tackle Tip Thursday Vol. 125 (Flat Fall & set-up)
Tackle Tip Thursday is here! Today we have Captain Art tackling bluefin tuna. The must have lure for bluefin is the flat fall. Art goes over 
two of the top flat falls that tuna are bitting right now, the Shimano-250g and Nomad-320g flat fall. You can get these bad boys at Fisherman’s Landing Tackle Shop or Turner’s Outdoorsman. (p.s. We do have them on board.)
Set-up Penn Fathom 60 2-speed reel, and a Seeker OSP 1X3 7’3″ rail rod. You can also try out this set-up on the boat. We have demo gear available for you. Just let us know so we can have some gear set-up for you.

Trip #31: Oct 31-Nov 8 (8-day) Ultra-limited Load
Good evening anglers,
We scratched most of the day on 10-18lb yellowtail with a large variety of other species mixed in. Late in the day we got a good shot at these yellowtail right before the sun went down. We had some excellent action here!
Yoyo, surface iron and fly-lined sardine was the way to go to get a bite. We have all smiles and high fives here. We’re going to start rolling up after dinner.

Trip #31: Oct 31-Nov 8 (8-day) Ultra-limited Load
Good morning anglers,
We picked off a few yellows here in the dark on the dropper loop. We have been scratching ever since. No big hits but we’re accumulating fish as we go. Most of the fish are coming on the yoyo and surface iron. There’s lots of action here with big bass, a couple seabass and a big halibut . Brochure weather down here. We’ll check in later.

Tackle Tip Thursday is here! Today we have a special guest, Billy from Fisherman’s Landing Tackle Shop. Billy tells us what’s hot right now with Wahoo fishing. Gear needed: Accurate Tern 600 narrow, or Accurate Valiant 600 narrow 2-speed 40-60# Monofilament or 80-100#braid , and CalStar 875H (Rated 30-60) 7.5 foot rod. The lure: Gold and pink Raider lure, gold headed black and orange Wahoo Bomb.

Trip #31: Oct 31-Nov 8 (8-day) Ultra-limited Load
Good morning anglers,
We’ve had a very good morning here on the Ridge. Great action on the wahoo and mixed grade yellowfin tuna from 10-40lbs. Good action all morning drifting them up. Not many troll fish, mostly caught on the bait and bombs and surface irons. Excellent sign down here in the morning. The signal has kind of diminished this afternoon so we’re taking off and heading for the beach for tomorrow.

Good evening anglers,
We had a pretty great day here on the ridge. Great action on the wahoo, Good tuna fishing. Some big dorado mixed in. Beautiful weather. Today’s action made the 500 miles of travel to get down here worth it. We’re traveling up this afternoon to be in position to fish yellowtail on the beach tomorrow. Epic wahoo bite this afternoon!
