Trip 24, Turner & Izorline 8-Day, July 27 – Aug 4

Good evening,

Awesome day of yellowtail fishing. Nice grade ranging between 15-35 lbs. Had a few pushing 40lbs.  Steady picking on the anchor all day. We went from sunup to sundown with nice flurries in between. Yo-yo lures seem to be the best.

Good morning,

Searcher drove out Saturday, July 27, 2024, on our 8-day with Turner’s Outdoorsman and Izorline sponsored trip with Pro-Staffer’s Lori Sachau and Wendy Tochihara.  We’ve had some good opportunities the past few days with incredible fishing on 30 – 70-pound yellowfin tuna.

Good evening,

We drove out Monday on the Poseidon Fishing Adventures sponsored trip. The day started off well and we had a good afternoon fishing for yellowtail at the islands. Promising signs and we’re planning to go at it again tomorrow. And guess who’s back?

Good afternoon,

Our first night we experienced steady bluefin fishing, picking away at good grade tuna all night for a total of 25 bluefin most over 100 for our 18 anglers. We then spent the day at the banks trying for yellowtail, although slow we managed about ten nice sized yellows for our efforts. After a couple good cod drifts, we headed back to the bluefin zone. Last night was much slower tuna fishing, only catching about ten. We’re now anchored up trying for yellowtail one last time before heading in.
