Trip #17 Turner’s Outdoorsman 1.5-day (August 28-30)
Hello anglers,
We finished the day with great action on yellowfin tuna! Plenty of chances for everyone with three different methods used: Colt Snipers, a nose-hooked live sardine with a 6oz torpedo sinker above the florocarbon leader attached with a rubber band, and flyline sardine with 25-30 pound line and matching fluorocarbon. Here is Dave P and a nice bluefin landed on a Colt Sniper.

Trip #17 Turner’s Outdoorsman 1.5-day (August 28-30)
Hello anglers,
We had some action this morning on yellowfin tuna and almost everyone has landed a fish. Live sardine and Colt Snipers were the most successful methods used. Here is Bob Fletcher, former Sportfishing Association of California president (and mentor to a young Captain Art), and Crewman Ryan with a nice yellowfin tuna. Bob was using 20 pound line and a #2 J-hook.
More later,

Trip #16 Jerome’s 1.5-day (August 26-28)
Good evening anglers,
This afternoon we saw just a little sign of biting yellowfin, however we did have a few good shots at quality bluefin. Getting a bite was not the problem, but landing them proved to be difficult. Those who stuck it out were rewarded. Here is David and Patrick with some 40lb class bluefin. Thanks to Jerry N and employees from Jeromes for joining us on this trip.

Trip #16 Jerome’s 1.5-day (August 26-28)
Good afternoon anglers,
We started our morning off fishing for 10-25# yellowfin. We found a few schools, but they did not want to cooperate. We managed to catch a couple handfuls. Around lunch time we stumbled into a school of 30-40lb bluefin that wanted to bite a little on the light tackle. After many casualties we managed to boat a few of these excellent grade bluefin.
Here is crewman Justin and Jerry with a nice 30+lb bluefin tuna caught on the sinker rig.
