Hello anglers: Here is our final report for today. We stayed busy all day with plenty of opportunity to catch a yellowfin tuna or a yellowtail with lots of kelps to stop on. We had troll fish and fish seen on the fish finders. I think everyone had a great time today and they all have plenty of fish. We are headed to the coast to try for some more action. Hello anglers: Here’s our midday report: steady action on yellowfin tuna. It’s a little slower than yesterday but there is still plenty of fish around. After yesterday we are being selective about what we are keeping and tagging. The smaller fish are being released. It is nice to see anglers watching out for the resource and the future, and keeping only what they can use.
Today’s photo is of Chad Coons with Capt Ryan and a nice yellowfin. Stay tuned for a video of Chad landing a nice yellowtail earlier today.

Hello anglers: We had an excellent fishing today with plenty of action-yellowfin tuna and good size yellowtail! Everyone had a great time at the rail today. The hot set-up today was 30 – 40 pound test and a 2/0-3/0 J-hook. There were plenty of fish landed on mega-baits, flat-fall, and butterfly lures.The hot trollling lure was a cedar plug, and a black and purple tuna clone. Looking forward to tomorrow!

The weather is great and we are all having a lot of fun.This morning’s photo is Ned and Loren Washburn from Redondo Beach, CA with a nice yellowfin tuna that Loren landed. Ned landed another yellowfin tuna the same size just minutes before his son. Great family time on Searcher!

Hello anglers: We’ve had a great start to our day with some action on good-size yellowtail. The weather is awesome with no wind and calm seas. Here’s the Womack family from Stockton, CA with a nice-size yellowtail each. Looking forward to good fishing today.

Hello anglers: We had a little action on yellowfin tuna this morning but it ended about 11 am. We didn’t see  much in the afternoon, until right before sunset when we got some tuna associated with common dolphin. We had some chances today with troll fish and a few fish on live bait. Today’s picture is of Searcher customer Ted Okon from Santa Clarita and his yellowfin tuna. Congrats, Ted!
The weather was good and we hope for the same tomorrow. We are headed north to try for yellowtail tomorrow.
