Hello anglers We started our trip south of San Diego today, looking for kelp paddies and some dorado. We had some action this afternoon on good-size dorado and some small yellowfin tuna. We released several small tuna and kept a few for sushi later in the trip. The dorado were in the 10 -20 pound class and everyone had some fun landing them.
Headed west for larger yellowfin tuna.

Hello anglers; We had a great day of fishing with everyone landing a yellowfin tuna and plenty of opportunity to land more. The sizes of the fish are awesome, with all the fish being over 25 pounds and a few fish over 40 pounds. Lots of fun had by all. The photo is one of those 40 pound fish caught on a Shimano flat fall lure by Bob Rhatigan.

Hello anglers: Good fishing this morning for yellowfin tuna! All the fish are in the 25-35 pound range. We have been drifting for over 2 hours with the same school of fish. The weather is calm and sunny. Today’s photo is of Capt Art and Richard Blumenberg from Pacific Palasides with a nice yellowfin. 
Richard used one of our loaner outfits to land this fish: a small 2-speed reel, a Calstar rod with 40 pound line, a 2/0 J hook and a live mackerel.

Hello anglers: We were lucky to find a kelp paddy that was seen yesterday by another boat and we had some action on dorado and small yellowfin tuna. All the novices on this charter are doing well and everyone is catching fish. The weather is calm and overcast. Today’s photo is of Capt Ryan and Ulysses Ramos-Ochoa from La Puente, CA and a nice size dorado.
