We are currently operating a natural history tour but will be posting fishing news as we get it. Our next fishing trip leaves Sep 11 (5 days) and still has a few spots open! Searcher regulars, Gary Holpuch and Tim Farmer, get caught on tape on a recent 5-day trip fishing offshore and at Guadalupe Island. (Video by Ray Guardiano)

Howdy anglers, We finished the day with over a hundred fish for our efforts and the weather is coming down. We ended up with 6 albies, 28 dorado, 106 yellowfin, and 10 yellowtail. Tip of the day: Make sure you can feel your bait–that helps reduce tangles. Good angling and hope to see ya on the water. Capt Aaron

Howdy anglers, Today the weather was up and the fish were down. We ran into the hot spot that we have been fishing and it didn’t pay off. We managed to capture a few, but not like the past few trips. So we’re moving into another area where some good catches were made and hoping to get even with those fish. We ended up with 6 albies, 20 yellowfin tuna and few dorado and yellowtail. Tip of the day: Be patient when pulling up to kelps. Wait until the boat stops and the captain says “OK.” It helps to minimize tangles. Good angling and hope to see ya on the water, Capt Aaron

Howdy anglers, Today was a amazing day! Once again the fishing and the weather were in our favor. We had a steady day of albacore fishing–all very nice-size fish, up to 40lbs. We totaled 98 of those beauties and shortly before dark we saw some jumpers and had a 3-hour bite on 25 to 70 pounders. We ended up with 77 of those and we also got a nice bluefin in the grey. To top off the wonderful trip we got to add a shortbilled spearfish to the report. We totalled 176 fish for the day and we are stoked. So happy angling and hope to see ya on the water, Capt Aaron
