Hey Anglers, We left the dock with high hopes for good fishing at Guadalupe island. The reports were good coming from there so we elected to go straight there. Unfortunately yesterday and today were very slow, with just a few yellowtail and a few yellowfin tuna. We are currently travelling east to San Benito island. We arrive there at daylight tomorrow. More then, Capt Art

Howdy anglers, We’re headed in after a great day of fishing. We started the morning with a kelp that we drifted on for a couple hours and caught 30 yellowfin tuna, 22 dorado, 3 yellowtail and 3 skipjacks. Then we trolled around for awhile until we found a very large herd of common dolphins and proceeded to catch 30 more yellowfin and threw in 3 albies in the mix to finish off the day. The weather is still very nice and we hope it stays around for a while. We finished the trip with 88 longfins up to 25 lbs and 62 yellowfin up to 38lbs, 22 dorado and 3 yellowtails. Good angling and hope to see you on the water soon, Capt. Aaron

Howdy anglers, We have finished our first full day of our 3-day trip with Capt. Kevin. To start off our weather is awesome. The boat barely moves when we’re drifting! Our targeted species today were tuna, and tuna we caught, . The fish are fairly close so we were able to fish the afternoon the day we left, we fished the same area today, and will be doing the same tomorrow. Our totals for yesterday were 27 longfins and today we had 60 longfins along with two yellowfin tuna. The yellowfin were up to 38lbs and the albies were up 25lbs. So were gonna give ’em heck tomorrow and finish up our three day. Hope to see you on the water soon and good luck, Capt. Aaron

It was a crazy day on the local waters today and unfortunately we did not connect with the tuna like a few other boats did. We went where the fish weren’t. We caught 18 dorado and 24 yellowtail for 27 anglers. The jackpot was a 20 # yellowtail. We’ll be out for a 3-day trip this weekend.

Hey anglers, We didn’t get too much action last night–just a few yellowtail. We moved to the north end of the island at daylight and we had some fair action on good-size yellowtail. We hooked 30 nice fish and landed seven. We left the island at 10 am and are headed home. Capt Art

Hey anglers, We are still at Guadalupe Island. We had a tough day today with not much action. We caught a few fish at every stop, but nothing would produce what we would consider a bite. We did manage to land 26 nice yellowtail and 11 yellowfin tuna. Three of those fish were really nice ones, with one fish–a 70 pounder– caught by newbie George Hartlmaier from Parawon, Utah. And Tanner Huffer from San Clemente caught a 50 pounder. Mas Kaneko from LA and the crew landed a 40 pounder. We are staying the night and fishing for a few hours in the morning before heading home. More tomorrow, Capt Art

Hey anglers, Another day at Guadalupe Island–great weather and good fishing. The yellowtail were all good size–20 to 25 pounds–and a few yellowfin tuna–18 to 25 pounds. We didn’t have a steady bite in any one place today, but we caught fish every where we went. There are good signs of fish in several spots. We saw a couple of bigger tuna today and we hooked and lost three of them. I’m guessing they were in the 50 pound range. Maybe tomorrow, Capt Art
