Good Morning Anglers,

Yesterday, we had so very good wahoo fishing with all onboard catching a few. (Need a yummy recipe for your wahoo? Click here for a delicious recipe.)  Best way to get a bite was a live bait and 40lb or casting a wahoo bomb lure. Weather is beautiful sunny skies and flat calm seas. Going to stay in this area for today. Wish us luck. Heres John L. with a nice one. ~Captain Shawn and Team Searcher

Today, we fished along the baja peninsula for a scratch bite on yellowtail.  We had a beautiful day with the sun shining and calm seas.  We would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Accurate Reels for all of the beautiful reels and swag they brought aboard for giveaways. Good afternoon anglers: Today we are fishing the coastline for yellowtail and have found a few. Best catching results have been an both yoyo jigs and a fly-lined bait.

Patrick K and crewman Ryan are showing off a nice one caught on a 6x jr blue and white. Find out what lures are working: YELLOWTAIL LURES

And how about a Searcher-style recipe for this wonderful fish? It’s all about the marinade!

Good evening anglers,

This afternoon we were able to scratch up some more beautiful wahoo on the troll they seemed to be biting the nomad lures best. Our evening bite on yellowfin tuna was nothing short of spectacular! It was a great way to end the day.

Good evening Anglers,
This afternoon consisted of a fantastic sunset bite on quality yellowfin tuna, with fish ranging from 18 to 45 lbs. The best way to get a bite was on a fly lined sardine. We also caught a few fish on flat falls right at dark. All and all it was a fabulous day on the water. We will be staying in the same place for tomorrow, wish us luck. Here is a shot of Dominick V. with his quality yellowfin. ~Captain Shawn and Team Searcher.

Good afternoon anglers:

Today we’ve had a good day of fishing on wahoo, yellowfin tuna and a few dorado, all while on the anchor. The best method of catching fish
today has been with 40 lb mono and fluorocarbon and a 3/0 Owner hook. We have also been getting fish with skip lures, poppers, and wahoo bombs.
We haven’t been able to do much trolling for wahoo since the wind is up, but we’re looking forward to it tomorrow as the wind is supposed to die down. Wish us luck!
Here is Harlan M. and Captain Mike with a beautiful 60lb wahoo caught on a fly-lined sardine.
