This morning we found the magic kelp paddy are having a great time catching yellowfin, skipjack and dorado! Good times to be had by all aboard.

Hello anglers:
We are finishing up our fishing time in the bluefin tuna region and had some personal bests today. Here’s Andrew R. and his 218# fish and Lance D. 205# fish. We’ve caught fish on both flat falls (Click for more info on these lures) and yummy flyers. (Click here for our Tackle Tip video on use of the yummy!)
We are going to move on and try our hand at some yellowfin tuna tomorrow. Wish us luck.

Hello anglers:
We’re on a 3-day trip this weekend and decided to try for bluefin with the extra time. Our efforts are paying off with some beautiful big fish.The tuna caught this morning were on “flat falls” (250 gram, sardine pattern), 80lb test with 150 lb leaders, and dropping down 150 to 200 feet.

Good evening anglers:
Today we fished for yellowtail and had good success on 8-15 lb fish. Most of our yellowtail came on 30 lb line, a fly-lined sardine and a yo-yo iron. A 6x junior “blue and white” was working well.

This afternoon was a little slow on the tuna grounds, but we did have a couple of stand-outs. The first belongs to Garrett Shiroma who caught a nice dorado. 
And second is Todd Adamson who caught his first striped marlin. He caught it on a flat fall and 40 lb line. Congrats to Todd!

Good afternoon Anglers:
Reporting from the boat on the Let’s Talk Hook-up trip. This morning, we have had great action on school size yellowfin tuna and skipjack. Seas are nice with a great breeze. Great way to beat the heat inland.Tackle tip for today 20 to 25 lb line and a 2/0 Owner hook, with Coltsnipers and flat falls are very effective. Here is a nice shot of Jacob and John with their yellowfin. Until later tight lines.
