The crew got us awesome video of the bluefin fishing. (We had to share.) Bluefin tuna fishing and this is the moment that the bluefin comes on deck. We all know how it is normally bluefin watching. This is an exciting moment for any angler to have your hard work finally come over the rail.
Good evening anglers: Today we enjoyed some “reel” nice bluefin fishing with calm seas. This afternoon things changed a little..we are catching fish on the fly-line with 30# and 40# and 2/0 hooks. Quite a few also came on surface jigs and small Colt Snipers. It was a lot of fun!

This afternoon we finished up our yellowtail fishing with a bang with limits of fun in the sun and calm seas. The yellows were biting the fly-lined baits very well, most using 30 lb test and 2/0 hooks. Tomorrow we will try our hand at some bluefin fishing. Wish us good luck. For day 3 of our Seeker trip, we fished bluefin tuna with some fair results on beautiful grade fish. The best methods to get a bite was flylining with 40 or 50lb test and a 3/0 hook.
Craig G, his daughter Lisa, and son Ryan worked as a family to catch this 75# bluefin. The fish was landed on the SONAR rod and reel gift that Craig received as the grand prize for 2018.
