Congratulations to the winner of the Turner’s Outdoorsman-sponsored 1.5-day trip 24!
Howdy anglers,
Slow action this afternoon fishing the coast: we did manage to catch a few yellows, but nothing crazy. Anyways, we’re headed home to be back out tomorrow for 6 days. Jackpot report tomorrow.

Here’s a photo of Turner’s rep Beto S. with a yellow he caught on Trip 21. I forgot to take photos today.
Howdy anglers,
We’ve had a great morning fishing for yellowfin tuna for our group. We’re headed into the coast to try for some yellowtail for the afternoon.
Here is a sample of our tuna with Beto S. from Turner’s.

Trip 24, the last Turner’s Outdoorsman-sponsored 1.5-day trip of this season, departed today under warm, sunny skies with a boat full of happy anglers ready for this exciting trip to get underway! Turner’s reps Jason R. and Beto S. returned with another crate full of giveaways and raffle prizes for the lucky anglers!
We’ll let you know how their dawn-to-dark fishing day goes tomorrow! Capt Aaron will be sending us regular reports and we will post them here!
Well, the great bluefin bite resulted in a lopsided jackpot for our 17 anglers returning this morning from the 3-day Clearfly Communications limited load 3-day trip:
Congratulations to the winners!
Howdy anglers,
Sunday afternoon wasn’t as good as we hoped for – starting with the conditions: current wasn’t there, and it was tough fishing. To go along with the slack current we had a torrential downpour of rain and lightning all around us. Quite a show, just not the one we were looking for!
Headed in tonight to come back out on a 1.5 day tomorrow.
We’ll post this trip’s jackpot report Monday afternoon.
Capt Aaron and the Searcher crew
Howdy anglers,
So far it’s been another fun day fishing for bluefin tuna! Hoping for some more action this afternoon – still the same riggings doing the trick: 30lb flouro flylined live bait with a # 2 Owner circle hook. Here is Jodi Dodge with her nice bluefin.
More later,

Howdy anglers,
We had a GREAT day fishing for bluefin tuna and with great weather and biting fish, we’re gonna do it again tomorrow. Here is another nice fish caught by Steve Sawtell with one of our Accurate/Seeker Hook and Hand outfits. Check out our morning report tomorrow.

Howdy anglers,
We have had some action today on bluefin tuna – biggest up to 40 lbs. The best method has been on flyline 30lb fluorocarbon and a 2/0 Owner circle hook. Here’s a sample of the fish caught by Tim Dodge. The weather is flat where we are – so we’ll hang out for a while.
Capt Aaron and the Searcher crew
The team from Clearfly Communications will clearly be making some new friends with a limited load of only 17 anglers on this 3-day trip! They took off today and will be sending us regular reports from the field! Check back here to check them out!
