Searcher crew!! From Captain Aaron serving dinner to Ed in the galley hooking and handing off fish, the deck hands were on point and there at the drop of a hat to pick a good bait, cast, tie a hook, untangle a birds nest and so on. And don’t forget chef Charles–unbelievable food. We never went hungry between 4-course dinners, lunches, and snacks. The whole crew knew exactly what the next move was and were able to help in all aspects of the trip. So from the “ZZ Bottom Crew,” I wanna say how much we appreciated the most enjoyable trip. Fishing is called fishing for a reason and fact that Captain Aaron put us on so many quality fish is a bonus to me and my friends.
P.s. Please send a 2016 schedule so we can plan for a much longer trip.

Howdy anglers: We finished the day strong with steady action all day catching yellowfin tuna and yellowtail. The weather is great and we’re headed home from a successful 1.5 day trip.

Leaving on a 1.5 day trip with a load of beautiful produce!
Our produce supplier is San Diego’s own Specialty Produce. They generously rovided our fruits and veggies for the trip leaving tonight. All Chef Charles’ meals start with great ingredients! In addition, lucky passenger (Tim Kern from Imperial Beach, CA) won this donated gift basket, courtesy of Specialty Produce.
And here’s the group, off and running, for a weekend 1.5 day trip!

Fishing update and news from Capt Art
Hello anglers: I’d like to share the news about the signs of wahoo at Alijos Rocks and The Ridge. There have been recent catches at both places though the Rocks have produced more wahoo than The Ridge. Of note are the sharks at the Rocks so it would be wise to add some lures to your arsenal. The sharks have been aggressive so you might lose a lure or two….
There are signs of yellowfin tuna at The Ridge but not at the Rocks. No guarantees but if there is a chance to catch a wahoo or two for everyone, we will certainly do our best.

Hello anglers; Another great day of fishing! It was a little slower today, but the quality of the fish was the same–bluefin tuna in the 30-40 pound class– and a few nice size yellowfin tuna. We finished the day with some action on good-size yellowtail to finish the trip. We had great weather and lots of fun,

Hello anglers: We’re enjoying great fishing for bluefin tuna today! Most everyone has landed at least one of these good-size bluefin. All the fish are in the 30-40 pound class. The primary method has been flyline live bait (sardine or greenback mackerel), #30-40 pound mono with matching floro-carbon, and a 3/0 circle or J hook.
