July 19 Mid-morning report

July 19th, 2014|Captain Mike's Blog|

Howdy anglers, this morning has been slow on the yellowfin we got a few but we found a couple kelps with some yellowtail.  We have a few more hours to fish before we call it a trip and head for home. The ocean is very calm with little wind and no swell, so we’re liking that.jul 16-20 servis Here’s a nice yellow caught by Ron Servis from Escondido, CA, with Capt Joe at the assist.
And a tackle tip: Using a small sinker (1/4 ounce) with a sardine does nothing but make the bait swim funny and look unnatural.
Good angling and hope to see ya on the water,
Capt Aaron and Searcher crew

The tuna is found associated with a big group of common dolphin. All the Accurate gear is getting a WORK OUT! Many thanks to Accurate and Gary Gillingham this trip…
