Trip Report
Oct 12 (7-Day Trip) Ultra-limited load to Guadalupe Island
Good morning anglers,
We decided to start in a more protected area of the island today. We saw fair sign of 40-60lb yellowfin and 15-25lb yellowtail here this morning so we kicked it over. The wind came up shortly after and we have 25-30knots again right now. The fish didn’t seem to mind though, so we started picking at the yellowfin and yellowtail. Then just before lunch time the yellows started hitting! Every bait in the water for about a hour was bit which attributed to fun fishing! They’re still biting right now into the afternoon so I gotta go, Anglers!

Good evening anglers,
Our yellowtail bite died off around 2 p.m. though we scratched up some tuna for the rest of the day. It was a pretty good sign but as the day went on, it got harder to get a bite. We still caught fish right up until dark. We’re going to try for bait and try here again in the morning.

Jul 25 (4 day) Limited Load
Hello all,
We had some opportunity on bluefin tuna last night. We used heavy line and 200-300 gram knife and flat fall lures.
We arrived on scene at 10 pm and started landing fish right away. Then the fish vanished at 1 am. Our anglers had a chance at catching a bigger tuna though! Hoping for some chances during the day today.

Hello anglers,
We stayed in the bluefin zone yesterday with very little success. The bluefin did their dissappearing act again.
We saw a few fish in the afternoon and managed to land two 75# fish. We headed south to look for kelp paddies.

The crew makes everyone feel so welcome. They go up and beyond making sure everyone is having a good time, helping with tackle setup and overall making sure everyone one is having fun.
Cooking was on point every meal! Deckhands are always there to help you out with your setups. They take the time to answer everyone’s questions while staying on top of their game. Just overall make it feel like an amazing experience, as well as a family.
Every crew member, including Mike and Josh, was very willing to teach us new techniques and how best to fish the targeted species. The working relationship among the crew was outstanding. It is a pleasure to see men enjoy their job and work so well together. Keep up the great attitude and spirit.
Your operation hires solid crew members that make the trip fun. Catching yellowtail on the iron while listening to music in the sun was the highlight of my trip.

Best run operation I’ve ever been on as far as desire of captain and attitude/ teamwork of the crew.
The crew is top notch. Mike knows how to fish hard and find the fish. Josh puts out 5 star meals every meal. The deck crew is always attentive to what’s happening on deck. They want to help with a great attitude and they all work together and get along great. The whole operation is smooooth.
