Fly-lining a live sardine was the method for catching a few yellowtail yesterday. We caught some rockfish and other fish taco choices for the morning.

Conditions at the island had changed so we had a slow morning for yellowtail on the yoyo set-ups. We connected on a few fish in the afternoon on the surface irons.

A few nice yellows at the island, but we were challenged with finding them today.

April 9 First Trip!

We at Team Searcher were excited to get our first trip of 2021 away from the dock and take some anglers fishing! The dockside maintenance is complete and there’s reports of yellowtail at the islands. We’re scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through April for some fun, full-day trips (5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m). Targets will be yellowtail, rockfish, and calico bass.
