Hello anglers,
We are landing some quality yellowtail this morning and a few yellowfin tuna as well! All the ladies are having fun. Tresa R. landed this beauty on 25-pound line and a live sardine.

We have managed to land some yellowtail and yellowfin tuna. The yellowtail are good size again so when you catch one it is a good one. Everyone is having a great time with lots of laughs in the stern. Teresa B. caught a nice yellowfin tuna.
We are headed offshore for this afternoon and hope to land a few tuna.

OSA Hosts Searcher for Offshore Live-Bait Tuna Fishing Seminar May 2nd 9am
Join us on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 9am, at the Oceanside Senior Center, 455 Country Club Lane Oceanside, CA 92054. for an offshore live-bait tuna fishing seminar hosted by the Oceanside Senior Anglers. Captain Art Taylor, with over 30 years’ experience fishing offshore San Diego and at Baja California’s islands and coastline, will give you the scoop on live-bait techniques and tuna fishing!
Art started his fishing career in junior high working aboard half-day boats in exchange for fishing time. He got serious about fishing as a career, and after a short stint in commercial fishing, earned his skipper’s license at the age
of 19. He was captain of his first fishing trips at the age of 20. Art Taylor started operating Searcher in 1982. Since then, it has run overnight, short-range and long-range fishing trips out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego. The thrill of sportfishing, the reward of teaching anglers to fish better, and the pride in keeping a boat operating smoothly from the engine room to the galley has turned Art into a well-rounded boat operator and business owner.
Searcher is a 95-foot long, 24-foot wide sportfisher operating out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego, California.

The crew makes everyone feel so welcome. They go up and beyond making sure everyone is having a good time, helping with tackle setup and overall making sure everyone one is having fun.
Cooking was on point every meal! Deckhands are always there to help you out with your setups. They take the time to answer everyone’s questions while staying on top of their game. Just overall make it feel like an amazing experience, as well as a family.
Every crew member, including Mike and Josh, was very willing to teach us new techniques and how best to fish the targeted species. The working relationship among the crew was outstanding. It is a pleasure to see men enjoy their job and work so well together. Keep up the great attitude and spirit.
Your operation hires solid crew members that make the trip fun. Catching yellowtail on the iron while listening to music in the sun was the highlight of my trip.

Best run operation I’ve ever been on as far as desire of captain and attitude/ teamwork of the crew.
The crew is top notch. Mike knows how to fish hard and find the fish. Josh puts out 5 star meals every meal. The deck crew is always attentive to what’s happening on deck. They want to help with a great attitude and they all work together and get along great. The whole operation is smooooth.
