Searcher Sportfishing Trip Report | Trip #4, 3-Day Limited Load, May 19 – 22, 2026

Hello!

Tuesday morning, May 19, 2026, we drove out of Fisherman’s Landing on Trip #4, 3-Day Limited Load, May 19 – 22, 2026. Yesterday, we made a 100-mile move, and it paid off. We got on some big ones at night, and they were biting as good as they bite. The guys got multiple opportunities at 100+ lb. fish. So far, this has been a fun trip with tons of laughs, good food, and good fishing. We’ll see what today and tonight bring us.

We will return home tomorrow morning and head back out on Trip #5, Memorial Day Weekend, 3-Day, May 22 – 25, 2026.

Searcher Sportfishing Trip Report | Trip #3, John Waggoner Charter | 3-Day Ultra Limited Load, May 15 – 18, 2026

Good morning,

Monday morning, May 18, 2026, we returned home from Trip #3, the John Waggoner Charter, 3-Day Ultra Limited Load, May 15–18, 2026. Epic bluefin fishing continued over the weekend on John’s charter. After the guys caught what they wanted, we opted for some coastal fishing down south for the last couple of days to stay out of the weather. We checked out some new areas and scraped up a few yellowtail along with a nice variety.

Jesse and Dan prepared delicious meals throughout the trip. Some of the dishes included filet mignon with a red wine reduction, duck confit in a duck fat sauce, and chicken curry over rice, just to name a few.

Tomorrow morning, we’ll be heading back out on Trip #4, a 3-Day Limited Load trip running Tuesday, May 19, 2026, through Friday, May 22, 2026. Searcher Sportfishing Trip Report | Trip #2, 3-Day Limited Load 2026

Good evening,

We’re currently out on Trip #2, 3-Day Limited Load, May 12 – 15, 2026. Tuesday morning, we left Fisherman’s Landing. The trip was off to a great start, catching our first yellowfin of the year that afternoon and had some full-speed action on bluefin after the sun went down. We’ve caught limits of bluefin 20-60 lbs., a few nice yellowtail, and a few nice yellowfin. It’s been good fishing, good weather and good food.

Jesse and Jeff prepared many delicious meals throughout the trip. Some of the standout dishes included a variety of sushi rolls, poke and shrimp ceviche, tomato pesto chicken sandwiches, shrimp ceviche with Mexican rice, and biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes.

Tomorrow morning, we return home and head back out on Trip #3, John Waggoner Charter, May 15 – 18, 2026.

Hello everyone,

Friday morning, May 8, 2026, we drove out of Fisherman’s Landing on Trip #1 Richard Denio and Knee Deep Brewing Company Sponsored, 3-Day, Friday, May 8 to Monday, May 11, 2026. This was an epic trip. Got out to the zone Friday afternoon and were able to start picking at fish once it was dark. Saturday made a change to a different zone and got on fish in the afternoon and just before sundown. Sunday afternoon one of guys donated a bluefin and we enjoyed fresh tuna. That night there were good schools in the dark and the big ones were biting. We returned home Monday morning. Good times and good fishing for all the guys.

Tomorrow morning, we leave out on Trip #2, 3-Day Limited Load, May 12 – 15, 2026.

This past Tuesday morning we left Fisherman’s Landing and had an epic few days of fishing. Started out on yellowfin tuna on the way down and then the next day we got some opportunities on bluefin up to 180 lbs. The past couple of days we’ve had excellent wahoo and dorado fishing. The guys are all smiles and high fives. Now we’re on the hunt for yellowtail today.

This past Monday morning we drove out of Fisherman’s Landing on trip #52, 8-Day Limited Load, November 10 – 18, 2025. We’ve been fishing hard the last few days. Got some bonus yellowfin tuna on the way down, 20-70lb fish right in the corner. On day 3 we fished the beach and scratched up some nice yellowtail. We’ve spent the last 2 days on the ridge striking up some big wahoo and picking on tuna up to 40 lbs.

Hello Evening,

We’re currently working our way up with the passengers on trip #51, 8-Day Ultra Limited Load, November 2 – 10, 2025. This past Friday we woke up on the anchor to different slower conditions, so we decided to work up and look for a kelp. Managed a couple wahoo and some dorado. On Saturday we started our journey up and found some epic yellowtail fishing. After the guys tagged what they wanted, we kept going up towards home. Today is our last morning of the trip. We did a few cod drifts before calling it a trip and were rewarded with some nice lingcod.
