Hello anglers!
The early signs of local bluefin tuna are very interesting! If you are thinking about going on a short trip to get tuned up for the season, we have some trips in June and July for you. The bluefin are in the 20-40# range at this time, and the season is just getting started.
Some tips for getting ready:
- Rig up for live-bait fishing and select outfits in the 20- to 40-pound line class.
- Stock up with Owner live-bait hooks (Which ones? Click here: Capt Art discusses Owner Hooks)
- Load up on Izorline braided line and flourocarbon leader material
- Attend one of our tackle seminars: May 2 at Oceanside Senior Anglers, May 10 at Turner’s Outdoorsman in Oxnard.
We’ve got a pre-season checklist with advice from the experts here: GET READY TO FISH!
