Jul 21 (Jul 20-23) 3 day Limited load

Good afternoon,

We drove around all night last night and it was pretty clear we were off the fish.  We saw two schools at around 3 and 4 in the morning.  Since the sun has come up we have been seeing good sign of these school-grade bluefin tuna.  We tried a handful of schools before we got one to bite a little bit.  We’ve been plunking slowly ever since. It’s light-line finesse style fishing. We’ll see what the afternoon brings.

Jul 19 (Jul 16-20) 4 day Accurate Fishing Open

Hello anglers:
(We have an issue with sending photos. We’ll get them loaded when boat returns on Thursday.)
Captain Jason reported in with a better night of fishing. They got into some 25-40# bluefin tuna, plus some in the 60-120#  range.

One of the few bluefin caught the first night.

Jul 11 (Jul 9-12) Ryan Bussell and Friends Open

Good afternoon,
We are scratching up some yellowtail this morning. It’s been flurry-style and a beautiful grade of fish. Yoyo fishing and fly line sardines are working best.
We’re going to do a few cod drifts this afternoon before we head home.

Jul 10 (Jul 9-12) Ryan Bussell and Friends Open

Good morning,
We were off the fish until early this morning though we did have a few opportunities throughout the night. We’re seeing good sign this morning and are picking on big fish now. They are 100-150# bluefin.

Congrats, Ashley!

Good evening,
We had a very long day of bluefin tuna watching. We’ve seen an incredible sign throughout the day of 25-150lb fish.  We had a few opportunities throughout the morning but by mid day, they were impossible to hook.  It looks like a good set up for tonight.

Jul 8 (Jul 6-9) Seeker Rods Open with Sophie

Good morning,
Continuing our 3-day Seeker Fishing Rods open charter, we scratched up some fish last night for the few anglers that stayed up and tried. There were some opportunities!
We’ve been plunking all morning on mixed-grade fish (30-110#, mostly 60#). Pretty fun fishing in sunny and calm weather. Enjoyable day so far!

Jul 7 (Jul 6-9) Seeker Rods Open with Sophie

Good evening,
Continuing our 3-day Seeker Fishing Rods open charter, we were off the fish until late in the afternoon. It didn’t look good until about 3 p.m. We started seeing a good sign of 25-100# bluefin and we got a few shots at them. Very fun fishing this afternoon!

Jul 6 (Jul 6-9) Seeker Rods Open with Sophie

Good evening,
We left the dock on our 3-day Seeker Fishing Rods open charter. The fish made a move out west throughout the day and we finally got on them right before the sun went down. We got a good shot on 20-50lb mixed bluefin and yellowfin.  Fun fishing, hopefully it holds up!

Jul 5 (Jul 4-6) Let’s Talk Hook-up!

Good afternoon:

We’re on our Let’s Talk Hook-up sponsored 2-day trip with CCA’s Wayne Kotow as host. Giveways were distributed and we got down to business.

We headed out west last night to where we have been fishing and we didn’t stay very long. We stopped on a few decent schools for no result. It didn’t seem right. We made the decision pretty quickly that we were not where we wanted to be.
We ran back in 70 miles and we’ve had a few decent opportunities in mixed yellowfin and bluefin this morning. We’re not seeing a whole lot right now, and are looking for another stop. The fish are 20-40lbs
