Trip #16 (1.5 day trip) Aug 29-31, 2018, day’s end

Good evening anglers:

Today we fished for yellowtail and had good success on 8-15 lb fish. Most of our yellowtail came on 30 lb line, a fly-lined sardine and a yo-yo iron. A 6x junior “blue and white” was working well.

Big thanks to Turners Outdoorsman for all the great giveaways. Here is Danielle G with one of her nice fish.

Trip #15 (1.5 day trip) Aug 27-29, 2018, day’s end

Good evening anglers:

This afternoon was a little slow on the tuna grounds, but we did have a couple of stand-outs. The first belongs to Garrett Shiroma who caught a nice dorado. And second is Todd Adamson who caught his first striped marlin. He caught it on a flat fall and 40 lb line. Congrats to Todd!

We want to say thank you to Let’s Talk Hook-up for a great trip and all the giveaways.

Trip #15 (1.5 day trip) Aug 27-29, 2018

Good afternoon Anglers:

Reporting from the boat on the Let’s Talk Hook-up trip. This morning, we have had great action on school size yellowfin tuna and skipjack. Seas are nice with a great breeze.  Great way to beat the heat inland.Tackle tip for today 20 to 25 lb line and a 2/0 Owner hook, with Coltsnipers and flat falls are very effective. Here is a nice shot of Jacob and John with their yellowfin. Until later tight lines.

Trip #14 (3 day trip) Aug 24-27, day 3, L.A.S.S.

Hello anglers,

Our day started off great with steady action on yellowfin and skipjack tuna. We were seeeing plenty of fish and they were responding to the trolling lures.

After lunch we stopped on a couple of spots and had good fish around us, and then a sea lion showed up on both occasions and spoiled the party. It has been very slow since then unfortunately. The ladies are still having a great time and the highlight for this afternoon has been Chef Roger’s sashimi and poke spread. There were fish donated for the cause and it was a hit.

Here is a photo of some happy gals with tuna from this morning.

Trip #14 (3 day trip) Aug 24-27, day 2, L.A.S.S.

Hello anglers,

We ended today with a nice stop on yellowfin tuna! Everyone had an opportunity to land a few. Live sardine was the primary method for success. All the ladies had a great time this afternoon. Here is Rene, Sunny and Candy with their yellowfin tuna. We decided to spend the night and try for some more tomorrow.
