Good evening anglers,
We’ve been dealing with some weather the past couple days, fishing when we can and moving up when we can.  We have had some fun beach fishing though and scratched some nice yellowtail throughout the last couple days.  We’re working up trying to spend our last day in good weather.

Good evening anglers,
We drove back up 150 miles last night and this morning, and stopped on a big breezer of 30-50# yellowfin and it was about as good as it gets. They were biting on 100# in the corner. Pretty amazing fishing.
We got what we wanted here and ran for cover around 3pm. The wind really came up this afternoon. We got into the beach and had a little sundowner on mixed-grade yellowtail 10-25#.
We’re in a nice anchorage for the night now and we’re going to try again here for yellowtail before moving up the coast.

Good evening anglers,
We made the 160 mile move last night and got down to The Ridge and it paid off.  We had a few very good opportunities on wahoo this afternoon.  Its a very nice grade of fish as well. We had 3- and 4-way jig strikes and bait and lure fish.  Very exciting and lots of fun excellent opportunity!
We turned around this evening and w’ere running back up to get some altitude before the weather comes up. We rolled the dice and we were rewarded.

Good evening anglers,

We had a pretty much as good a day as they come down here today.  We stopped short at Isla Natividad this morning to fish yellowtail and we had a nice morning picking away on 15-25# fish.  Mostly yo-yo and dropper loop set-ups were successful.  We had a good sign until about 2pm, it was fun drift fishing.

We headed offshore to look for tuna and kelps.  We found a school of 35-45# yellowfin that bit into dark.  They were biting as good as they bite. Beautiful weather and great fishing.  We’re sliding down and going to be on The Ridge tomorrow.

Hello anglers:

We made our way to the beach from Alijos Rocks last night and arrived a little offshore at daybreak. We looked for kelps for no success, and continued to fish some high spots along the beach. We managed some fun fishing at our first stop on some wonderful grade tuna and yellowtail. We made a couple drifts and continued up the coast.

As the sea state continued to decrease anglers got a break from the rocking and rolling the night before. Our last stop of the day was a lucrative one and anglers had fun fishing on all sorts of inshore species with plenty of yellowtail to go around. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and with the calm seas ,we plan to spend the night on the anchor and try again tomorrow.

Hello anglers:

We spent the night last night at Alijos Rocks in hopes that conditions would improve and improve they did. Shortly after trolling around for a while for ‘hoo, we stopped to put the anchor down and had some incredible fishing on 30-50 pound yellowfin tuna. Most anglers were able to tag what they wanted and many were giving away they fish. A

lthough we only managed one wahoo for the day, we had some opportunity on some amazing grade yellowtail. These 30-50 pound yellowtail were caught on all sorts of methods: yo-yo, flyline and dropper loop all worked. We tagged around 20 of those amazing specimens.

We are now headed in to fish the beach tomorrow to catch some more yellowtail and round out our trip.

Hello anglers:

We arrived at Alijos Rocks today around 9:30 and spent the day targeting wahoo and tuna. With lack of current and unwilling fish, we only managed 7 wahoo and about 20 tuna. We made the best of the less than perfect conditions and are going to spend tonight on the bank and try again tomorrow. With better weather in our future, we are hopeful for tomorrow.
