Hello anglers: We were back on the coast today trying for yellowtail. While fishing here, we all heard the quote of the trip and it came from our good friend, Mas Kaneko. Throughout the trip the crew has helped Mas hook fish, land fish and get around. The boys have been outstanding in taking care of whatever Mas has needed. During one of the stops today, Capt Ryan hooked a yellowtail on a yo-yo lure and as he was fighting it, we heard Mas call out “HEY RYAN– NEED ANY HELP?” It couldn’t have been scripted any better! Mas and Ryan are pictured with the yellowtail. Mas put his tag on it, of course.

Hello anglers: The action picked up a bit before lunch here. Everyone has a chance to land a nice-size yellowfin tuna! Using a live bait, 30 pound test and a 2/0 J hook is working well. Bob Slegers from Scottsdale AZ and Capt Aaron are pictured with Bob’s nice tuna.sep 22-27 tuna sleger
We had “Cheeseburgers in Paradise” for lunch. The weather is awesome–hot and sunny.

Hello anglers: We found some action this afternoon! Everyone had a chance to land yellowtail in the 15-pound class. A dropper loop and live bait was the most successful method. A few fish were landed using yo-yo lures as well. Today’s photo is Capt Kenny with Anne Lahue from Redondo Beach and a good-size yellowtail.sep 22-27 anne

Hello all,
We started our day on the coast for some more yellowtail but only landed a few. We headed offshore to find a kelp paddie and some dorado to end the trip. The conditions were not the greatest as the wind came up due to the tropical weather in the area. We did find a kelp paddie and had some action, but the conditions made it difficult. Everyone had a chance at landing a dorado.
Headed home with a nice catch but had to work for every one of the fish we caught.
Thanks to Steve Carson for all the hard work before, during and after the trip. He makes it worthwhile for everyone on board with all the giveaways from various sponsors. The loaner tackle he and Penn provides is awesome. Looking forward to doing it again next year.
