Howdy anglers: We had a great day fishing for yellowfin tuna. The grade of fish is very nice –18-25 lbs– so we’re happy. We’re gonna do it again tomorrow so wish us luck.

The weather is a bit windy but that’s not stopping us.

Dear anglers: Capt Aaron has been too busy to send a report. Unfortunately, not too busy catching, but too busy finding big bluefin tuna that don’t bite! The catch report from yesterday is very dismal, though they had those impressive bluefin all around the boat. They caught a few dorado on the first afternoon of fishing. Aaron also reports choppy conditions, which wasn’t in the forecast. We are all crossing fingers for a biting school of yellowfin and a hungry bunch of bluefin today, and maybe even some calmer seas for working.
Hello anglers: Excellent fishing for yellowfin tuna this morning! Lots of fun had by all. This afternoon was slow but we had a kelp paddie right at dark and picked up a few more yellowfin tuna and a few nice dorado. Spending the night here in the same area and trying again tomorrow for more action. The wether coopearted today so we had sunny skies and light winds.

Hello anglers; We started our trip with a good bite on yellowfin tuna this afternoon. Everyone had a chance at landing a fish, including the novices who were able to land their first tuna ever. A flyline sardine was the method of choice this afternoon. Fish were landed with 25-40 pound line.
The weather wasn’t great, but the forecast looks good for the rest of the trip. Hoping for a comfortable ride on the sea anchor tonight.

Howdy anglers: It’s a different day for us here. We’re having a bit of trouble finding a school of fish that wants to bite. We are still seeing fish, they are just not hungry today. The weather has come up a little (windy) but we managed to catch a few fish for our efforts. We’re gonna try some more this weekend!
Good angling and hope to see ya on the water soon,
Capt Aaron and Searcher crew
