Howdy anglers: We’re currently drifting with a school of bluefin tuna and this is the first school that’s biting so far this morning. There is a good sign of fish all around but it was a case of finding one that wanted to bite. Good angling and hope to see ya on the water soon. Capt Aaron and the Searcher crew
Howdy anglers: Nice fish coming over the rail for us this afternoon and we still have one hanging into the dark. We have been drifting on the same school since a little after lunch. The grade of the fish is 30 -60 lbs so we’re gonna stay here another day and hope to do it again tomorrow. Here is a sample of the grade of fish that was caught today by Bruce Gothar of Menifee, CA.
Hello anglers: Today we travelled home. Everyone has enough fish and based on where we finished the trip, we didn’t have much time to fish today. Thanks to Gary Gillingham from Accurate Products for all the goodies and the use of the tackle. For people who haven’t had the chance to use Accurate Products rod and reel combos, they get a chance to use it and realize how great the reels are and hopefully buy a rod and reel combo for their arsenal.
Hello anglers: We made a move south to the yellowtail zone and it paid off. We had great fishing this morning for good-size yellowtail. I’m sure the fish will average 20 pounds. Great weather again today. Long-time Searcher family member Paul Jones from Pacifica, CA and Capt Joe are pictured with a nice fish from this morning’s action.

Hello anglers:Well just when you think you’ve had a great day and it can’t get much better, it does! We had awesome fishing for yellowtail this morning and then we went to an area where there was a sign of yellowfin tuna. That’s when it got better–excellent fishing for yellowfin tuna from 25-30 pounds. The weather is great. Searcher friend Ray Guardiano from San Diego is pictured with two of his yellowfin tuna.
What a day! Team Searcher
Hello anglers: Great fishing in the bluefin zone today! Same scenario with mixed-size fish up to 50 pounds. The weather is flat and calm today, it doesn’t get any better than this–great weather, good fishing and the Searcher family customers. Capt Art and Mickey Durkin are pictured with a nice size bluefin tuna.
More later, Team Searcher
Hello anglers: We have had pretty good fishing for bluefin tuna this morning! There are mixed sizes with fish in the 15 -50 pound range. A flyline sardine on 30 or 40 pound mono with the same size florocarbon leader has been the tackle of choice today. Dennis Yoshioka from Bishop is pictured with Capt Aaron and his 25 pound bluefin tuna.We hope the fishing contiues at this pace, if so we will have a tremendous day of fishing.

Hello anglers: We had a great day of fishing! We drifted for most of the day and had a chance to land a nice bluefin tuna the whole time. We saw plenty of tuna. First time angler and great friend to Searcher, Armando Quintero from San Raphael, CA is pictured with Greg Noonan and his nice bluefin tuna.

Hello anglers: We made it up to the bluefin tuna zone at daylight. It didn’t take long to find a small school of fish in the 25- 60 pound range. We managed to land 13 of that grade fish. We went a little further northwest and had a troll fish that was 15 pounds and we landed a few of that size fish. A little further northwest and we found a larger school of mixed size fish that were 15-40 pounds and we finished our trip there.
