Howdy anglers, A surprise came to us today. We had some action this afternoon after departing for our 3-day trip. We caught 13 albies, two yellowfin and two dorado for the afternoon, so we’re going to give it a try in this area tomorrow. Good angling and hope to see you on the water soon, Capt. Aaron p.s. Howdy anglers, Well today was a bit slower for us, but the weather has improved. We fished for kelps again and they seemed to move out of the area overnight. We’re headed in tonight with 143 mixed fish for the trip and we’re leaving tomorrow on another 3-day trip with Capt. Kevin at the helm. So good angling and hope to see you on the water soon, Capt. Howdy anglers, Capt. Kevin started our 3-day adventure with a great first day. Once again we are fishing kelps and great variety of mixed fish. The weather has picked up a little since the past weeks but the forecast predicts less wind and a nicer sea tomorrow. Our count for the day was 126 mixed fish, including 67 yellowtail, 47 dorado, 7 yellowfin tuna, 4 albacore, and 1 bluefin. So were gonna shut down a little to the northwest tonight and try to repeat what we did today tomorrow. Tip of the day: using flourocarbon when kelp fishing has not proven to be better or worse so on the kelps, it help to utilize the whole side of the boat. It makes it easier for all of us in the long run. So good angling and hope to see you on the water soon, Capt. Aaron

Hey anglers, Today we looked in a little different area hoping for yellowtail and dorado on kelp paddies. Unfortunately there was a lack of paddies and fish. We managed to catch a few dorado and yellowtail and two yellowfin tuna. All in all a very slow day for us. There is some encouraging news from 150 miles south with some good fishing on paddies. Hey anglers, Today we moved up to the north about 60 miles. The reports were good with good yellowtail, dorado and af ew tuna on kelps. Unfortunately the kelps didn’t have very much yellowtail or dorado on them. We did get really lucky and caught 30 nice big albacore and 9 bluefin tuna for our efforts today. Those albies are in the 30 pound class, with some bigger and some smaller–all beautiful fish. We are headed a little further south to hopefully cover some water off the beaten path tomorrow. Hey anglers, Today we were offshore fishing kelp paddies for yellowtail and dorado. We had 70 fish with a few yellowfin tuna mixed in. Most of the yellowtail were 12 to 20 pounds and the dorado were 8-20 pounds. The tuna we caught were on a blind jigstrike. They boiled up a little and we caught 5 bait fish with the troll fish. They were 22-25 pounds. Tomorrow we will be offshore again with the same program as today. More tomorrow, Capt Art
Howdy anglers, Once again we finished a 1-1/2 day trip with smiles on our faces. Along with the ocean and weather still maintaining the resemblance of a lake, the fish also got with the program and gave us a great day of angling. Once again we fished kelp patties (floating pieces of broken off kelp) for yellowtail and dorado. We had a pretty steady day with a couple of spaces in between kelps, and we managed to make a day of it with 88 yellowtail and 13 dorado. We’re on our way in tonight and leave on a 4-day fishing trip tomorrow. Good angling and hope to see you on the water soon, Capt. Aaron
