Sunday August 16 road closures

August 14th, 2015|Uncategorized|

The annual America’s FInest City Marathon is taking place on Sunday, August 16 and there will be road closures in the vicinity of Fishermans Landing between 7-9 a.m.
Typically, cars are allowed in and out of the Ace Parking lot only when there is a break in the flow of runners. After the main group of runners passes, the traffic goes back to about normal. They expect 7,000 runners!
Please plan accordingly and pack some patience. The trip arriving that morning will need extra time to exit the lot, and you may be delayed in entering the lot, especially between 7:30-8:30 a.m. (This is an estimate, since there’s no telling the speed of the runners, etc.)

Hello anglers, We have had a chance at some quality bluefin tuna again this morning, though it’s a little slower action than this time yesterday . We hope to finish off today with the same action as yesterday evening. We had a great stop on mixed yellowfin tuna up to 30 pounds and bluefin tuna up to 40 pounds. It was excellent fishing.

Passports

August 13th, 2015|Captain Mike's Blog|

TIP: Get yours out and double-check the expiration date. Renewals, if necessary, can be done quickly, but give yourself some extra time by checking it NOW!

REQUIREMENT: For 3-day trips and longer, a valid passport is required. We ask you for all the details in advance so we can complete the necessary Visa application on-line. But you must still have your passport with you on the trip, just as if you were travelling to a foreign country by plane or land crossing.

We recommend you purchase travel insurance for your fishing trip. We aren’t able to make refunds based on lack of a passport, so protect your valuable vacation by checking your passport now and checking into that insurance.

Howdy anglers: We finished the trip with a bang. We had some great and very steady action all afternoon fishing for yellowtail. The grade of fish was awesome, ranging from 15 to 38 pounds. The weather was as calm as it gets . We’re headed for home with the sun setting. Here’s a sample of the fish we caught today. This is Jon Drivick of San Diego:aug 7-11 YTG
