Howdy anglers, Today was a lot better than yesterday, we’re catching more fish. The weather has gone from great to good since we had a little breeze today but still very enjoyable. There’s a better sign today which makes it things more promising for our next upcoming trips Capt. Aaron

July 21–Days end

July 22nd, 2010|Captain Mike's Blog|

Howdy anglers, Today was a tough day for catching fish. We had a slow morning though the afternoon picked up, with seeing lots of alacore. However they still didn’t bite. The weather is still very good and the forecast is for more of the same. We’ll give it another try on our 3-day trip. good luck and hope to see ya on the water, Capt. Aaron

If the parking is bad, fishing is good!

July 20th, 2010|Captain Mike's Blog|

Yes, it’s that time of year, so here’s a few tips (And keep a positive attitude. After all, you’re goin’ fishin’!). –Arrive early to take advantage of spots opening up as boats come in and passengers leave the main lot. –If the main lot is full, there will likely be spots in the overflow lot on North Harbor Drive between the two hotels. Drop your gear off at the landing and take your car over to the lot. NOTE: In the overflow lot you must pay in advance ($6 per 24 hours)and make sure you have a credit card OR coins (like dollar coins) as that is all the machine takes. No bills (and i didn’t make the rules here!).
