It’s Tackle Tip Thursday and Throwback Thursday! Today we have Steve C. from Penn Fishing back from the Fred Hall Show. Steve gives us all the must-haves for tuna and yellowtail fishing. We were asked about spinning reels on the last Tackle Talk live so Steve gives us a tackle tip with a spinning reel and tackle tip. Steve has a popper lure and a Penn Slammer III spinning reel.

Our 3rd Tackle Talk Live was a success. We talked rod and reel combos! (Killer set-ups) We talked all about the must-have set-ups you will need for a multi-day trip. Steve has dart type lure for when the tune are bitting small bait. With a 40# test outfit, Steve has a Penn Fathom (FTH25N LB2) 2-Speed reel or the Torque 15 extra narrow reel.

He also shows us the “Improved Clinch” Knot. Perfect for hooking monofilament aka “mono” to your circle hook. Great for getting your hook back in the water.
